Inexpensive Dating Ideas

On a budget?  Dating ideas can be luxurious without being expensive! For great date ideas that don't break the bank, find places to go with your date where you can linger, spend time getting to know each other.  For example, great events to attend can also be free to the public like local fairs, antique swaps, and day trips locally to the beach, park or other local attraction.  

If you're not sure where to find fun dating ideas, here are some to get your started. 

1) Candlelight dinner for two at home, preceded or followed by a massage and perhaps an intimate movie lets you share intimate time in the privacy of your own home.

2) Go to a funky local book shop or coffee shop to enjoy a coffee, sweet and perhaps a book or magazine.  It's a great place to talk and get to know someone, and can be a fun way to connect, people watch and just hang out in a different environment.

3) On the weekend, check your local movie theaters for rates that are affordable before the 7 pm shows. Sometimes you'll find a local university offering foreign or independent film for lower prices than the big theaters.  Head out to a matinee and save on the evening ticket prices.

3) Read the community section or weekend pullout of your newspaper for free talks, college events community fairs and local sports events that will get you outside and part of the community.

4) Take a walk in the park.  There are lots of free neighborhood parks, nature centers, bird watching preserves and other areas to have a picnic, fly a kite or watch a local little league team practice.

5) A trip to a museum or zoo can be interesting and fun.  Some smaller facilities only require a voluntary donation.  

The idea is to be creative - find ways to spend quality time together.  You don't need to spend hundreds of dollars for an evening out to get to  know someone better.  These dating ideas will help get you started.
